What Is Identity and What It Means to You?

Cole: President Nelson was talking about labels and how we define ourselves. He said labels can be fun and indicate your support for any number of positive things. But if any label replaces your most important identifiers the results can be spiritually suffocating, he says. Cole: I used to identify as having same-sex attraction and then it kind of pulled more to gay because I felt that was more representative than sex or who I am attracted to. And in fact in the preface to my book I wrote this thing about identity and what it means to me.
