Solar Geoengineering Is a Way to Reduce Climate Change

Solar geoengineering aims to reflect small fractions of sunlight back into space. The most studied and best understood method is to deliberately put aerosols in the stratosphere. These could be something like diamonds or sulfuric acid which are commonly in the atmosphere. What it would do is reflect away some light because aerosols reflect away light. This hasn't been done, but it's also not a new idea.
