The Importance of Logging in Java
I started with JDK 1.0 and yeah what was your first project with Java you remember this? I think it was a lot for J. And we were trying to implement a device for a secure device for signing transactions. We said oh there is no logging library in Java so let's write one. Michael Steiner came up with the idea of a tree of loggers that inherits a level and you can do filtering. It was such a great idea I implemented it, incorporated it into the project and everybody loved it immediately.
