Boys tend to be praised for the intellectual content of their work, while girls are praised for non-intellectual aspects. Other studies have also found that girls tend to receive less attention from teachers than boys regardless of the subject or age of the students. There's some argument that it may be greater disparity in science and math classes than in other classes.
