'Echoes' - I Like the Pain
Rich: Echoes was the first thing they did during the sessions for recording this album. Nick Mason regrets that they put it on side two instead of side one, but they'd already done that on Adam Hart mother and well, that's Adam Hart mother. I think it was sparked to sequence it the way they did, you know, like Laura's in with the angry rock song and then we settle in with the other normal sounding things,. And then Sheamus and then unleash the thing and then it's real.
