consciousness, opanishads call consciousness the light of lights. Without your eye s, none of it will be revealed to you. So the eyes reveal the light itself, but without the mind. Even if the eyes are working, if your mind is asleep or not attentive, you will not experience anything. The seer and the seing, they must be different. They don't reveal themselves. But the light reveals all of this and reveals itself. It does not require one more light to reveal it.
