The Role of Gluten Peptides in Celiac Disease

DQ8 is a source of genetically systemic cause susceptibility to celiac disease. Is there any particular peptide that is presented by this particular isoform how does that work? Yeah this is again such an important question and I would say we are starting to better understand why but there's still a lot that remains to be fully understood so first of all I think one thing that should be said is that gluten peptides can bind many many types of MHC molecules which is why you can see people having IgA anti-gluten antibodies.
