Land Is a Big Deal, Right?
A lot of house flipping is actually just enabled. It's like, because someone will pay more for the land even if they just plan on demoing whatever ugly shack they managed to rig up on it. Land represents a significant percent of all gross personal assets. Wealthy people are hoarding it. The land rents produce an enormous amount of income and most of the value of trying to buy a house in a high demand location is just paying for the dirt. That's how land is a big deal.
