The Importance of Eternal Punishment

Aquinas: Even those who have completely and eternally rejected him, he's not imposing the absolute worst punishment he can. The soul is forever rejecting God because the will of the soul is forever fixed on something other than God. And so therefore, what you have there is forever a manifestation of the truth of justice.
