In the past when that goes on, the force disintegrates. The illustrative example is american war at viena where things went badly and good order and discipline within the ranks eroded seriously. That's what happens, i think, can happen to an army. But if i were to day a russian commander, botalion commander, regimental commander, i would certainly try to be acutely aware of that kind of problem propping up in the ranks.
