Hezekiah's Priority in the First Year of His Reign
Hezekiah opened the doors of the Lord's temple and repaired them. And then he brought in the priests and the Levites to consecrate it. He says right there in verse 6, for our ancestors, meaning his dad,Our ancestors were unfaithful and did what was evil in the sight of the Lord our God. They abandoned him,. turned their faces from the Lord's dwelling place and turned their backs on him. The people became as a result disillusioned. It wasn't worth it anymore.
