Crashlyns's Input Hypothesis of Language Learning

Crashlyns' one-dimensional vision of acquisition has been a source of great criticism for crashing, particularly in the 1980s when it came out. Crashlyns says that I represents the last rule or structure that we've acquired and then I plus one is the next structure that we are ready to acquire. But other researchers like Lightbound and Spada who have written many books about language learning try to give a broader interpretation where they say I is the level of language already acquired.
