Is There a Difference Between Authenticity and Identity?

Sally Kohn: I think what this book did or what I hope it does is really take a more critical look at the role whiteness plays in normativity. She was able to gain access into groups that she could by reaching out to the president of each of the organizations that allowed me access to their groups. And so just that kind of assumption of complicity or just the kind of assumption that nothing to see here is very much tied to whiteness. It's also my responsibility as a white woman to elevate this conversation a little bit more. Absolutely.
