The Test of Jesus' Identity

In the first century there were itself, there were half a dozen messianic pretenders. And so I think the question before us is we look at this passage and see how do we know that Jesus is the real deal? How do we see that he's not just another messianic Pretender, but he's the actual messiah of the world? So maybe let's just begin by reading the passage and then we'll sort of work through it and see how the testing reveals him to be the son of God.
