CHAPTER

The Organized Movement to Ban Books

I wonder how many parents there are who support and vociferously complain about particular books and have them banned but don't monitor the screen time of their children do you think there's such people. Who's organizing is it for political reasons? Is this really the thing that they're targeting or is it a proxy for something else I think you suggested maybe it's the latter. We see these long lists of books that get passed around from community to community as the basis for objections. There's no question it's an organized movement motivated by a sense of anxiety and a kind of lashing out against cultural change.
