Philadelphia is one of many, many cities where incredible strides have been made and will continue to be made. I don't think that generally there's anybody who's going to fight harder for Philadelphia than Philadelphia's themselves. We've seen a lot of disaffection and pessimism on the left sometimes since Bernie lost in 2020 as Republicans maintain their stranglehold on the court. And even if you had seen friendly politics at the state and federal level, unless we create a plan and vision for ourselves...you just you don't get to where you're going to be.
Featuring Nikil Saval and Helen Gym on how the history of Philadelphia social movements brought Nikil into the state senate and has made Helen, a long-time public education organizer, a frontrunner in the mayoral race.
