Is There an Opportunity to Use Momentum?
In a very robust bull market, you could have like 90% of the market in the S&P 500 are above their 200 day movie average. The challenge for portfolio managers is how do you get 80 or 90% of a benchmark? How do you winnow that down to 50 stocks? You can do that with momentum. By systematizing my research process and putting it in tables like this, I now no longer have to look at thousands of charts a day. But most importantly, it captures many more things that I would completely miss just because I'm human and I wouldn't see them.
