Is There a Moral Foundation to My Life?
A lot of times a stance on a particular public policy issue really is just a reflection of a much deeper moral underpinning that may have very little to do with the having logically, rationally thought through the position. So for like creationists, for example, who are they? Well, they tend to be mostly religious, Christian, fundamentalist, or evangelicals. Most people don't know about evolutionary theory. The average Harvard undergraduate cannot explain how natural selection works. And you can accept the theory of evolution. Even though I don't believe in souls and in the afterlife and all that, you know, who cares? That was a good move.
