Is It Possible to Paralyze Transactions?

When we're dealing with real smart contracts that hold real money my general pieces is that you should do reasonable optimizations where they're obvious, except for one case. If you can bend over backwards to use slightly less state than you were using before you should do it. I agree wholeheartedly because I think that's what's fun or like expensive if you have a platform or every contract is allowed to touch any piece of state. Whereas the approach sweet is taking in a lot of these newer black chains are taking is make transactions explicitly sparse.
