A DAO is a Decentralized autonomous organization - this is an organizaztion that uses blockchain technology to provide a secure digital ledger in a transparent way. Garret Akerson is using this organizational structure at ClimateActionDAO.xyz to launch a constellation of 20 satellites to calculate the Earth's Radiation Imbalance (ERI), and become the oracle of climate data on-chain. Their aim is to tilt the climate back in favor of human life prior to reaching the point of no return.
