Is There a Cross in the Options Market?
In options, all orders are traded in options must be routed to an exchange to be crossed. In order to do a cross, you either have to just rout it to the screens where maybe you are waiting to provide liquidity. Or you can internalize it in a price improvement auction, which allows other market makers to compete to provide additional price improvement on those customer orders.
