Does an Epidural Technique Affect Labor?
In general, does the analgesic technique that one might choose affect labor? So of course the answer is yes and no. There may be something specific about women who end up needing a neuraxial technique especially early on. If someone has a lot of pain really early on, that may actually indicate that there's something going on. They may have a macro-somic fetus or a mal position like we talked about the upside-down position.
