The number and type of people that have been involved with data in general has also changed a lot. Five or 10 years ago when you were just using data to report on how many customers you had, typically like a couple analysts who reported into IT or finance. And so the most common scenario is for data consumers downstream to go back to data engineers and say, WTF, the data here is wrong. Right? We look at the data and we're like, Hey, does this look right or not?"
