Theranos Blood Tests Are More Than a Consumer Product
In 2013, Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes said that the modern clinical lab hadn't evolved in over 50 years. She also promised more accurate results with her tests as they removed the human error of lab specimens sitting out for too long or if a tech mistakenly processes them and thinks of that nature. Skepticism turned to downright disgust when the Wall Street Journal ran an exposé, revealing the company itself was a fraud. In October it all came crashing down.
