Is There a Good Antagonist in Film?
Meg Urry: Our antagonist doesn't necessarily have to be like, quote, evil by societal standards. In fact, often I think good antagonists are doing the right thing. She says Christopher Nolan's great with antagonists and Hans Gruber is an essential brilliant villain. Urry: An NPR podcast called pop culture happy hour just did an episode on die hard that really beautifully articulated what makes Hans Gruber such a good antagonist.
