Weird Realism of Lovecraft in Theory

You'll be attending the HP Lovecraft Conference, Weird Realism of Lovecraft in theory. Tell us a little bit about this and what drew you to it. There is a small but quite solid kind of tradition of often French theorists, social theorists, philosophy theorists who are obsessed with Lovecraft. In much of the continent, it's not quite as odd as it sounds to the sort of Anglo-American ear,. But I'm hoping it'll start an interesting conversation, as they say.
