This week on The Daily Discussion, Jarrett Bellini looks at genetic science in early 20th century Russia. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, most Russians still lived more or less like medieval serfs. One of these zarist era scientists was a guy named Ilya Ivanov who became a tireless advocate of trying to cross breed human beings and apes. He set up to feed the world and wound up starving it.
