The Identity of Darius in the Book of Daniel
Darius is identified as being a mede descent in chapter nine, verse one. Darius could be understood as a vice gar or co regent of cyrus the persian. He claims the prerogative to address all peoples and he establishes a regime overseen by 120 satraps.
