In 1957, when you Humphrey Bogart passed away, things started to decline in the new Romanoff empire. The original closed New Year's Eve, 1962. He opened another place in San Francisco, but none of his restaurants were doing well. And he decided to open a third location in Palm Springs. It was just looky-lose up in there. Ferguson passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital, September 2nd, 1971.
