Justice Jackson's Dissent Is a Counterweight to the Chief Roberts Way of Thinking
It's interesting to see the liberals on the court in their dissents, how much more pointed, maybe even I would say personal they are. Justice Sotomayor certainly spoke from her personal experience on other cases that were tied to race and ethnicity. And Justice Jackson did something different in her dissent. She very much argued from data and studies and American history of discrimination not just in the past, but in the present.
