There is a painting from 1496 that has a sulfur-crested cockatoo in it which is a parrot native to Australia. And they reckon that that is evidence that there was trading going on throughout the world at that time. They would be trading with China in things like CQ-Cumbers. Do you remember Mrs Beaton?
