i didn't know anything about the production going in, i still don't even though. But they do a very good job of portraying how his actual formal education didn't really proceed much unt he was sent off to study at Oxford. And that it was by means of e some reading, for sure, but mostly his relationship with other faculty friends at oxford em that it sort of brought him around. They kept challenging im. That's one of the things i love the most about tha portrayal of the movie, because i think it's something that is so lacking in our culture.
