The Three Hours of Prayer

In the early church, nine noon and 3 p.m. were known as the hours of prayer. This is when they gathered to pray in a trellis structure upon which their spiritual life grew. The New Testament does not command us to do this but describes it so that we can learn from its pattern for our lives.
