How Asymmetrical Can a Good Friendship Be?

A symmetric relationships don't endure for very long. One person basically gets resentful, so they can kind of dissolve. If you just even reflect on your own friendships, it's not that at every given point of time it has to be 50 50. There can be periods of time where, like, one friend is just needier, and then the other personis more of a giver. But i do think there has to be this give and take, because isn't that what a friendship is in a way, right? It's a communal relationship. And once it becomes lopsided in a permanent way, it's no longer like we're of the same piece, right
