I think that the benefits of this technology are definitely in the long run going to outweigh the downsides. The fact that they're using safety and fear-mongering arguments instead of the labor argument is a recognition of the fact that people are going to sort of see through on some level this labor opposition to the technology. I just don't think that you can sustainably oppose a powerful beneficial new technology on the grounds that we need to preserve our old economic paradigm.
