In TypeScript, you can define multiple signatures to your function. It could be a little bit mysterious, especially when you get into like multiple callback layers deep. I personally am always using the aliases because it's almost always cleaner to me in the ability to see what's an or exactly where something's living. Next up here is going to be file paths aliases: whether or not you have an alias for a directory where you can then access that file via the alias and then the file path.
