Introduction
Charity Woodrum is a grad student at the University of Arizona getting her PhD in astronomy and astrophysics. Her research focuses on what's called the quenching of galaxies. In the early universe most of the galaxies are all forming lots of stars but as time passes we start to see these quiescent galaxies appearing that have stopped forming stars. The film Space, Hope and Charity tells the remarkable story of Charity following a heartbreaking family tragedy.
