Bob and Danny: When do you think plastic was invented? Carol, let me ask you a follow up question before I give the answer. Let's go back to number one, magnetic tape as a means of storing information was first developed in 1868 by a German inventor. Bob and Danny: The idea that we didn't have like plastic film back then is just wrong. We did have it. And yet it wasn't invented until 1928. But I was very careful in picking that date to put it right at the beginning of the plastic.
