For the Sake of God

David's fidelity, or we would say faith, in Yahweh alone, colors the way that God speaks of him for all time. The use of David is he did not go worship other gods. That was not something that he did. Therefore God can speak of David as somebody who is righteous because he was a man of faith even though he was most certainly a sinner.
