The Romans and the Celtic Traditions of Bath
Bath was a complex of baths built on the roman templet, with different hot and cold rooms. And they also built complexes of temples around it to make offerings to spirits and deities associated with the springs. The main temple was dedicated to a goddess that, apparently they called sulis minerva. They were combining together a tic deity associated with the spring, sulis, with the roman goddess of wisdom, minerva.
