Roman Wall Paintings - Are They in Public Buildings?
In pompei and herculaneum, you have these wall paintings. They depict what is at uo quite taboo subjects in ancient rome. There's a very famous statue of the god pan having sex with a goat. We got two men and two women having grand old time. And all this is contrary to roman customs and morals. So there seems a lot you can laugh at which we wouldn't expect. It takes us by surprise.
