The Rise of Wiper Malware

A year ago when Russia invaded Ukraine, cybersecurity analysts and Ukrainian military officials expected a Russian cyber attack that would cripple their systems. What happened? Well, there are three theories. The first theory is around about December before Christmas, a team from US Cybercom tried to help them protect their systems. And they said that they've had over a thousand critical and really a high level attacks just in the past year. That's part of it. And then there's something called a Wiper malware. And this is a new thing that's come out that we haven't seen as much of.
