How to Keep a Boundary

When setting boundaries, make sure you're coming from a place of love for yourself and acceptance for the other person. Be clear about exactly what it is that's going to trigger your boundary; then commit to following through with it. Don't emotionally resist or try to punish others by using your actions to manipulate them into changing their behavior. If you are not in this place, you will have a hard time keeping the boundary because you want to stay and argue with the person to make them change - which won't work.
