There is more screening out of women in the diagnostic process than there is men. As much as 90% of women are being screened out at that point, which is significantly higher than men. There is a massive bias against women from getting picked up in school to getting referred from the GP. It needs big studies, and we've talked about this before at the minute, nobody's really funding ADHD research. The charities don't have enough money to do it. The government's funding schemes aren't interested yet. I'd certainly advocate for women and therefore I'm not fully feminist but I am an advocate for women.
