The Face of the Other

A frightened face is the possibility of a frightening world, because you can't see a face without also experiencing it as a locus of interiority. A face is an index of an interior experience. That's why we differentiate faces from other things. And crying being one of the most primal and certainly affective emotions is probably the example to concentrate on if we're going to go into the weirdness of emotion. This is the animated series entry that is at least one of the dynamic cultural structures in biochemistry.
