The Number One Contributor to Heart Rate Variability

Heart rate variability is a physiological process called respiratory sinus arrhythmia RSA. It's the natural change or rhythm change of heart rate and we've lost the respiratory cycle so as we inhale heart rate is going to naturally increase. As we extend the exhalation we increase that variance in between successive heart beats which increases heart rate variability. People think like oh no I want my heart rate to be steady and it sounds like or it feels intuitively like you would want that to happen but indeed what you actually want to have happen is for there to be tons of variability.
