What Is the Difference Between Horizontal and Vertical Auto Scaling?

So a pod is a group of machines, and the load balancers is always sending it to the same pod, but just to a different machine in the pod. There're specific in cuvernets, horizontal and vertical pod auto scalers, that you can put in to your cluster. But again, these things don't operate in isolation. Their happening together with multiple applications on a single cluster.
