The inner world is full of phantoms and will o the wisps. The ego has altogether ceased to think, feel or will. It merely accompanies events. And as for the ego, that has become a fable, a fiction, a play on words. What follows from this that there are no mental causes at all. But nitha does not believe in free will in either a libertarian or compatiblist sense. He's sceptical of causality as this framework for explaining all human action. Finally, he doesn't think it's healthy to consider yourself an automaton or a slave.
