The Transformations That Came With Women's in the Post Oil Period
Before the oil period, most of the tailoring took place by women who catered for their families. The post-oil period saw people coming in to the area from the indian sub continent and setting root with small tailoring shops that could supply what is needed on a large scale. This had implications for both women's lives and their dress practices and styles.
