The Ethics of AI

I think AI is a useful term for talking to the public about any kind of increased capabilities that technology can offer beyond those of humans. But unlike some, I don't want to just discard that term because at least that's a common term we have for the public at the moment. There are plenty of interesting ethical conversations to be had about, say, the ethics of Facebook's newsfeed. The trust that we're going to require as technologists, as designers, is only going to increase. And so now is the time to be having those conversations.
